Fair Haven was a train station in Fair Haven, Vermont served by Amtrak, the national railroad passenger system. The station closed on January 9, 2010, and a new stop was added 5 miles (8.0 km) miles to the east in Castleton, Vermont.[2]
The station building itself, which was originally built by the Delaware and Hudson Railway is abandoned and sealed. A small bus stop-like shelter was used instead by Amtrak passengers.
Since there was no station building, there was a little stepping stool used only for the stop at Fair Haven, Vermont on that set of train tracks that travels from Rutland, Vermont to New York City, New York.
